Kid's Feeding Center in the Philippines!

This December, Give High Five held its first Launch Party and Fundraiser Dinner. Our generous supporters raised funds to support a children’s feeding center in the Philippines!

Proper nutrition is vital for all children, and yet there are countless kids around the world without regular meals. For this Nutrition & Water project, we partnered with a local ministry that has been doing amazing work in their community helping to meet the needs of their neighbors. They feed up to 100 kids and their parents on a weekly basis and hope to add more days and more locations in the near future.

The Backstory

Back in 2011, Sergio went on a mission trip to the Philippines where he joined a team installing water filters in rural villages and supporting local ministries. This trip sparked his passion for meeting the needs of his neighbors around the world.

On this trip he became good friends with Algie, one of the Filipino team members. In 2018, Sergio and Algie organized another trip to the Philippines, installing more water filters in the homes of displaced communities. Today, Algie is a pastor and leader of a ministry that does great work in his community. They help victims of typhoons, earthquakes, the Covid 19 pandemic, and they have recently begun a feeding program for kids in rural villages.

We are excited to partner with Algie and his ministry in helping them to fund their feeding center ministry for kids in need!
